30 Days of Scarborough part1

Holy guacamole Batman Times they are a Changin around here...The Ray of sunshine in my life and I are moving house. No big deal, people move house all the time but there is so much more to this than just a house move, we have been here for 9 years this month, this lil old house amongst the tree and seashells is our home. Prayer flags float in the breeze, faeries nest in the trees, gardens have become beds of magik herbs and flowers, neighbours have become adopted family members and Handmade Wonderland was born here.

I guess what I'm getting at is that I will fricken miss this place, so I wanted to spend our last 30 days here really soaking up all the good vibes that Scarborough has to offer before we head off onto our next adventure, hence the #30daysofScarborough i created over in social media land.

A friend recently asked us what sparked all this change and pondering this question we think it all was ignited last year when i helped my sunshine realise that he was not his job, that he was amazible as is and not because of his work but because of his beautiful brave heart and so what the hel does he actually want to do in his life? This snowballed into dreaming bigger dreams for our life and what we actually wanted rather than just doing as we had always done. Three weeks ago the sunshine was made redundant - this is ridiculous, how can the sun ever be redundant! But it was from a job that wasn't making his heart shine and rather than fall apart and drop into a space of fear, we realised that here packaged in disappointment was our gift of change, we made a brave decision to
embrace this a big wide open door!
Bob Dylan's the Times they are a Changin played on repeat as we danced in the sprinklers and decided to embrace this space which we have come to realise is the 'void' and the walls started to shake, things fell off the shelves and bolted doors flew open wide and we knew deep within that even our beloved home knew that it was time for us to go.

Last January I found myself clinging to the bathroom walls overwhelmed with tears and a shifting energetic feeling throughout my whole body of 'oh my, we are leaving' I realised and then I walked throughout the house and cried and cried and gave gratitude to every room and the flooding of memories seeping within the walls and floor and every fibre of the home. So grateful, we are so grateful. Holy shite so grateful. The next day nothing happened, life went on and that moment i shall now call 'the bathroom incident' faded from my memory until now, now i am realising how much i hold on and how hard it is for me to actually let go so it has taken a couple of months for the whole process to unfold.

This void space has gifted us with time to really sit with all the opportunities we have been blessed to choose from. Each day we are brave enough to stay in the Void offers us a new opportunity. This space is uncomfortable, usually in life us humans want to quickly rush to fill our void spaces so we don't have to feel discomfort. The void asks us to sit still, quietly and present and just be, the gift of this discomfort is all the grace that floats towards you that you ordinarily miss out on.
The seven opportunities began to feel a lot like the 7 cups Tarot cards
