Heart healing - Or how to deal with May

Map of The Introvert's Heart by Gemma Correll
Day 1.
Sit amongst blankets in the fresh morning air and watch the sun rise over the hills.

Get to know your neighbours by eating flowers with a new little fae friend and enjoy housewarming gifts.

Dig your hands into the earth and plant flowers and house plants.

Walk the shy dog and get to know each other slowly.
Stop and enjoy tiny mushrooms.
Lift your eyes and allow yourself to tune into the magik and possibility of a new faerie tree space.

Let your heart be captured by a flock of honey eaters and a couple of neighbouring alpacas.

Let your heart break open by stray cat hairs amongst your clothes and the realisation that they are now limited precious things.
Witness yourself becoming a mad woman as you collect every last hair from within the depths of the washing pile.

Open yourself in the ritual of Samhain and honour your lost friend and this time of immense change, endings and beginnings.

Let yourself be loved and make deeper connections with friends.
Eat amazing food including the best apple rhubarb crumble ever.

Bathe in lush bath products - literally. And luxuriate in your new beautiful bathroom.

Day 2.
Allow your heart to remember the joy of flowers, and a feeling of deep gratitude to have such a beloved friend. These flowers become a talisman of colour and light to guide you through this dark month.

Day 3
Give thanks to the hearts of friends who leave offerings to your lost friend, a Bast statue becomes a guardian and rose quarts hearts seep love into the Earth.

Day 4
Begin to nourish yourself by creating a space for Art Love, and embrace the spirit of making do. Collect 5 of the tallest sticks and build a teepee as a future promise to the fae.

Day 5
Dig your hands into the earth, plant promises for the future and let garden therapy ground you.
Visit an energy healer and let tears flow and comfort quietly greet you.

Day 6
Fill your senses with healing aromatherapy.
Build a warming fire in the hearth.

Day 7
Draw a tiny picture of your lost friend and feel him reach back to you through the finding of another stray little orange hair.

Face your fears, be brave enough to ask for help and look into yourself and the parts that want to hide away. Embrace the multitude of simultaneous emotions; joy and silliness amongst despair and grief. Step into your power and hold a ritual in honour of the dark moon.

Day 8
Embrace rest on Sundays and colour coordinate your book shelf.

Day 9
Be brave and take a train into the concrete jungle of the city, slow down and wander, follow delight, tune into the feelings of the music, trade your coffee money for a few songs, take a seat, settle in, there is no need to rush, take out your journal -because you have remembered to take this everywhere with you. Let your pencils take you for a walk, talk openly to strangers, witness how quickly 'others' become friends if you allow the space. Strike up an unlikely trio and venture to houseplant filled cafes, talk about art and music and travel; the things that make life wondrous, walk around slowly together, smile and celebrate your bravery in getting out of your square.

Day 10
Visit a friend with 5 cats and satiate your tactile senses craving for soft fluff and purring to the very brim. Visit a lake and fall in love with abandoned ducks and geese and learn lessons about making the most of loss, abandonment and the family we choose for ourselves.

Day 11.
Visit the zoo and draw and delight in all of the magikal creatures, go home to an empty house and allow yourself to balance on the washing line of missing what is not there as well as loving dearly what is.

Day 12.
Accept that anxiety is present and sit and watch birds and the wind rustle the trees. Feel into the space created when people avoid speaking of your lost friend, acknowledge the mixed bag of feelings it stirs and pop it back on the shelf to digest later.

Day 13.
Retrieve your husband from the airport and welcome a loving friend to your new home, walk the circle of the property, sip tea, eat raw cacao and share loving heart spaces.

Day 14.
Witness your bodies racking sobs as you face the loss of your friend and your old home presented in vivid detail, let your body melt into a pool of energy that slides down the back stairs into an oozy goo to seep into the dark earth under the hibiscus, stay here a little while, in your pool of woe, feel into it, let it soak right in, feel it all and then stand up and take a wooden staff of power and roar. Open your eyes and welcome back your daily meditation practise, acknowledging that avoidance is not your true friend.
Perform a home blessing dedicated to the Goddess Brigid in the delighted fires of the hearth.

Day 15.
Sit under your new tree space and quietly get to know each other. Let the beat of the drum connect your hearts.

Venture into the land of birthday cake and Bat caves and enjoy the comfort of family.

Day 16.
Take your husband to the airport before the sparrows even awaken and come home to welcome the day with a glorious sunrise.

Spend this day with a wonderful friend and let her transform your hair into a rainbow wonder. Drinking cider and eating Mexican is essential.

Day 17.
Return the favour and spend the day with your friend helping transform her home whilst soaking up the cat therapy. Drinking coffee and eating cake is essential.

Day 18.
Walk amongst the tall trees of the property and receive messages about life, impermanence and the sovereignty and strength of sourcing your security within rather than without, be willing to experience all of life without holding on to anything, let your experience flow like a great river, your strong core of heart and soul is a magikal ship of dreaming.

Enjoy your first day of painting in the "artport" in your new home, let yourself get back into the heart expanding flow of creation, let the spirit fill your every cell, renewing.

Work in Progress of 'Sat Nam'
Day 19.
Acknowledge that you have cried everyday for three weeks but don't cling to this, embrace the whole spectrum of emotions and the releasing of energy and flow it creates. Don't dramatise, just witness and breathe, oh and drink water... a lot of it. Remember your shaman teachers wise words "your processing a lot of energy, you are either going to cry it out or wee it out, so drink a lot of water" XD

Embrace the ecstatic feelings of your heart leaping out of your chest as a flock of dare devil Carnaby Cockatoos fly into the property and wreak havoc on all the banksias. Lift your face to the tree tops and stretch your arms as wide as they will go and feel your heart leap and dance with the spirit bird song. Collect all their banksia mess and make a mandala in their honour and to honour this magikal space.

Fall in love with faerie shrooms popping up all over the property.

Day 20.
Welcome home your husband and take him for a walk amongst the trees with the shy dog, share with him your heart and the wonder of all the little things around you.

Day 21.
Cancel all your plans and stay in bed, let the rain soak into everything, let it bucket down, watch little bunnies frolic in the puddles, drink tea and snuggle amongst blankets with pencils and sketchbooks and encourage a shy dog to come hide under the shelter of your bed.

'The Path to Wonderland' Work in Progress
Day 22.
Do nice things for loved ones, let the good vibes and love nourish you.
Get out of your square and sit in a circle with beloved sisters old and new and celebrate each other, share challenges and stories, encourage each other, hold space and share the love and chocolate and the best raspberry cake ever. String magikal beads together and bind your arms together in a circle of red thread of love for a brave mumma to be.

Day 23
Welcome home family from international travels and listen to wonderful tales of far off lands.

Day 24
Begin to open up a new space to create in, let it overwhelm you, make you cry, wobble and sigh, get to know the space slowly. Sit within the space at the end of the day on an old wooden chair and light some Paolo Santo and breathe into this space your have created, let this space also know you.

Day 25
Venture back to the studio and get some help and get shit done! Learn the wonder of fresh eyes, new perspectives and ingenuity. Give thanks and gratitude to the people who care for you and make space for you just as you are in their life. Remember you are blessed.

Day 26
Adorn yourself in your wildest finery and venture down the rabbit hole. Delight in colour and silliness, embrace your difference and your shiny heart. Enjoy the mirroring colours of Wonderland, a girl who is brave and the message of time, impermanence and the truth of letting go of everything eventually.

Day 27
Test your bravery strength and will by doning a wetsuit and facing your fear of deep water and waves. Cry, feel defeat and overwhelm, retreat to the beach and sob quietly to your self. Stir up your courage, add a dash of "I Can" and get back in and keep getting back in for 2 more hours. Feel the adrenaline course through your hands afterwards, the ache in your arms and the wobbly of your knees.  Stand on the beach and stare our at the choppy grey sea and let your desire for mermaid surf adventures sail out on a dream ship for another time.

Day 28
Gather with your circle and acknowledge once more your lost friend and the pain in your heart. Let the dark space within the void embrace you.

Day 29
Prove to yourself once more that you are larger than your fear and greater than your doubt. Light a candle to your creative spirit and spend a productive day in your new magikal creative space.

Creativity Altar
Day 30
Drive to Bunbury to the top of a hill and look out over the sea. Then drive through the good vibes of Margaret River to the trees and river of Augusta and spend time with your soul friend and her little family.

Day 31
Venture to the Boranup Forest and let the wonder of the trees delight you, remember who you are, inhale deeply the scent of the rich earth and the clear tree air. Venture further along to the surf breaks and sand dunes and sigh with love at the ocean and all her wonders.
