Hello Art lovers,
I have been creating up a storm here in Handmade Wonderland.
Treasures from the enchanted forest have been popping up and even some new doorways to Faery.
As a little side note in 2008 i taught English for a year which is quite the joke considering i failed high school English which is a funny not funny story i will regale you with another time over a cup of tea and some chocolate. Anyway I had a term perhaps of creative writing and one of the exercises we did that i absolutely loved was a short story inspired by Three Words. We had one container of verbs, one container of adjectives and one container of colours, we closed our eyes and drew one little slip of paper from each container like a wordy lucky dip. The writing task was to then use these three words to inspire 15 minutes of writing which by the end of the 15 minutes must contain those three words.
One day i chose Green Make Door and i wrote a story that I and the class loved - they gave me a round of applause which was probably one of my fondest memories because these guys were a tough audience!
Whilst creating my doors to Faery i remembered that story and i would like to share it with you

On top of a lush green hill there was a rickety old workshop
surrounded by nothing but blue skies
and the occasional cloud disguised as a
sheep.
In this workshop there was a man, a strange little
man who loved to make
doors.
In this workshop there were many different
unusual machines
whizzing-whirring-fizzing-buzzing-churning
assisting the little man in his door
creations.
Some say the workshop on top of the green hill
was haunted,
others say it was magiked, and then
there are the rumours that the little man
was from
a mysterious other world for all the doors he created were magik portals to other worlds.
Here are some of the new Doorways to Faery for you to take a peak at.
Maxi my creative assistants scratch of approval!
If you fancy inviting a little fae magik into your life, these Doorways to Faerie make a sweet edition to your garden and you can find them currently in my Etsy shop - enjoy
Did you like my lil story?
I want to say #$%& you to high school english trauma and write more, so watch this space - writing plus art = happy heart :D
Brightest blessings
xxx
